Feed the Need is an organisation that provides low decile schools with fresh, hot lunches.
With the support from Whaea Simone (administration staff), we are fortunate enough to receive hot soups and stews every Tuesday and Thursday during the winter period, starting this week.
Room 1 absolutely love them, and they look forward to receiving their hot lunches.

Feed the Need not only provide hot lunches for every single child in the school, they also provide all the cutlery, serviettes, bread rolls and butter.

Thank you Feed the Need!!!!!!

Today we had the 'Asthma Foundation' representatives come and educate our students about what can cause asthma, how to prevent getting asthma, and how we can help someone that has asthma, in an emergency situation.
Puffer Fish danced around and entertained the students. A very successful show this was : )

 Road Patrol
So today while I was on road patrol, this lovely group from the Te Whanau Awhina, came out with these awesome road safety signs.
 Ka rawe tamariki ma!
Look at them holding their signs up so that cars will remember to slow down around school areas.
 Ka Pai Ma Cynthia!
So please remember to be safe around the road.

Look who Whaea Edith and Matua Hemi had a photo with........ The Laughing Samoans!!!!
I even got a t-shirt with their signatures on it... Don't worry, I will bring it in for you all to see : )
Please excuse my writing. Today we watched a video about the history of ANZAC Day back in 1915. After watching this video, the children were asked to record what they remembered - What they could hear, see and feel.
Everyone wanted to share what they had written at the end of the lesson.
